Description

General information

The Warbonnet Ridgerunner SL is a luxurious bridge-style hammock with an integrated bug net, large side pockets, and spreader bars that create a super-flat sleeping space. Made from durable and breathable fabric with a weight capacity of 198 lbs, it provides a comfortable bed for people up to 6’6″ tall. Like the Blackbird XLC model, it’s available in single layer (SL) or double layer (DL) versions, with the latter offering higher weight capacity and the ability to insert a sleeping pad.

Durable construction

Dream-Tex synthetic fabric, specially developed for hammocks, combines traditional ripstop weave with a diamond grid pattern. This creates an incredibly comfortable cotton-like structure that’s also tear-resistant. Add an fantastic balance of strength, low weight, and flexibility, and you get a hammock that will serve you for many years.

Superior comfort

Sleeping on your back can be uncomfortable for some people, causing discomfort after several hours. Most hammocks allow you to achieve a diagonal position for more comfortable side sleeping. However, this usually only works on one side. If you want to turn over, you might wake up with your face pressed against the fabric, and sleeping on your stomach is usually just a dream. Not with the Ridgerunner model! In this hammock, you’re essentially in a suspended bed and can sleep in any position. Thanks to its spreader bars, the Ridgerunner perfectly combines classic design with a new level of comfort. You can sleep on your sides, back, or stomach, and even turning over during sleep isn’t an issue.

Easy assembly

The hammock is easily hung using polyester straps. The package includes a pair of strong polyester straps with simple loops designed for use with a pair of carabiners (carabiners not included). Once the hammock is hanging, you need to insert the spreader bars into the attachments at the ends. The head bar comes in three pieces, and the foot bar splits into two parts. Their segments are color-coded, so you can’t mix up which goes where. Finally, insert the bar tips into the loops on both sides of the hammock, and you’re ready to lie down.

Practical little things

  • Entry zipper – The zipper on both sides of the bug net allows you to unzip the hammock along its entire length. This solution lets users enter or exit from their preferred side, or whichever is safer given the surrounding terrain.
  • Side “storage bags” – The Ridgerunner offers plenty of space for items you want to keep within reach. Spacious external pockets on the sides can store clothes and other essential items.
  • Bug protection – The hammock features a fine mesh bug net that effectively protects you from insects. There are two attachment points for guy lines that ensure you have plenty of space in front of your face. When not using the bug net, it can be unzipped at the head and sides and rolled into a foot pocket.
  • Whoopie slings suspension system – This simple mounting system offers the option to hang from trees or other anchor points. The hammock comes with a practical Whoopie slings system. This thin cord with self-locking loops and hooks is lighter than webbing with carabiners. It provides equally secure suspension with the ability to smoothly adjust length. It’s gaining increasing popularity among bushcrafters and backpackers who count every extra gram in their pack.
  • Colorado quality – Every element of this hammock is the result of long-term development. Every time you lie in it, you’ll realize it was designed by people who actively use outdoor equipment. According to independent tests and reviews from seasoned outdoorsmen, it’s one of the most comfortable hammocks on the market. All Warbonnet production is located in Colorado, USA, guaranteeing quality and ensuring you’re getting a product that will serve you for many years.
