General information

When sleeping in a hammock, a classic sleeping bag compresses beneath you, significantly reducing its insulating properties and potentially leaving your backside cold overnight. In warmer months, this issue can be resolved by placing an insulated mat or other insulating pad directly into the hammock or sleeping bag. When an insulated mat is no longer sufficient or bothers you in the hammock, the OTUL Primaloft Silver Underquilt comes into play.

The OTUL hammock insulation surrounds the hammock from both below and the sides, creating a pocket of warm air around it, allowing you to enjoy comfortable sleep even in cold or windy weather.

The OTUL Underquilt is made from high-quality materials. The fabric used for the underquilt is a lightweight, durable, and quick-drying polyamide ripstop weave. This material is also used in the production of clothing and sleeping bags for Polish special forces units GROM and FORMOZA. Perfect insulation is provided by Primaloft Silver 200 g/m² synthetic insulation. This material is not only lightweight, durable, and elastic, but also hydrophobic, so it doesn’t absorb moisture.

OTUL has its own suspension system, supplemented by UNGAPER – a clever solution for raising the underquilt by about 10 cm. The system allows elastic cords to be fastened around the hammock, which helps OTUL better hug your body and close any gaps between the insulation and the hammock.

In addition to its “hi-tech” materials, OTUL’s advantages include its very easy use; you don’t need any special knowledge or additional equipment to attach it to your hammock.
