Description

Bushmen Thermo Blanket is an excellent solution for protection against cold or moisture when staying outdoors. You can use it as a bivy bag, blanket, underquilt for a hammock, or a comfortable poncho. Weighing only 750 g and being highly packable, you can easily place it inside or outside your backpack.

Sophisticated design

The top layer of the Thermo Blanket is made from waterproof and breathable ripstop polyester, which makes it tear-resistant. Beneath it is a silver isothermal layer covered with soft fleece. Thanks to the combination of insulation and heat-reflecting layers, its thermal insulation properties are approximately 30% better than products without a heat-reflecting foil.

Everything needed in the kit

The blanket has a rectangular shape measuring 2 m x 1.4 m with eight plastic loops in the corners and on the longer sides. A comfortable hood is located in the middle of the longer side, while the shorter sides have reinforced seams. The product includes two bungee cords for tensioning, two mini carabiners, and a polyester transport bag.

Supplement for hammock

The blanket can also be used as an underquilt for a hammock to improve thermal comfort when sleeping in a suspended bed. Simply attach the tensioners/hooks to the loops in the corners of the blanket and place it fleece-side up under the hammock. You can adjust its position using the drawstrings and tightening straps on the shorter sides. This comfortable three-season hammock pad protects against cold, wind, and moisture. In this case, the hood functions as a practical pocket for items you want to keep close at hand. However, you can also simply use it as a top quilt for your hammock. Since it is quite wide, it can accommodate two people underneath.

Bivouac bag

The Thermo Blanket can also serve as a cover or a simple bivy sack for your sleeping bag. It will protect it from rain and provide additional insulation. You connect one side to create a kind of “foot cover” and cover yourself with the rest like a blanket. To prevent the cover from slipping off the smooth surface of the sleeping bag, you can place tensioners under your sleeping pad and attach them to the loops on the edges.

Poncho

Just put the hood on your head and you are ready to face wind and rain. The blanket naturally drapes over your shoulders, and the size can be further adjusted using the elastic bungee cord with a slider. For better protection against cold and wind, you can attach both sides together using the mini carabiners included in the package. It’s a great solution when you’re sitting by a campfire, for example.
