General information

When sleeping in a hammock, a classic sleeping bag compresses beneath you, resulting in a significant reduction of its insulating properties, which can leave you with a cold backside overnight. In warmer months, this can be solved by placing a foam mat or other insulating pad directly into the hammock or sleeping bag. When a mat is no longer enough or gets in your way, the OTUL Underquilt comes into play.

The OTUL insulation surrounds the hammock from both below and the sides, creating a pocket of warm air around it so you can enjoy a comfortable sleep even in cold or windy weather.

The OTUL Underquilt is made of high-quality materials. The fabric is a lightweight, durable, and quick-drying polyamide ripstop. This material is also used in the production of clothing and sleeping bags for the Polish special forces GROM and FORMOZA. Perfect insulation is provided by Primaloft Silver 200 g/m² synthetic insulation. This material is not only light, durable, and elastic, but also hydrophobic, so it does not absorb moisture.

OTUL has its own suspension system, complemented by UNGAPER – a clever solution for lifting the underquilt by about 10 cm. The system allows elastic cords to be fastened around the hammock, ensuring the OTUL better hugs your body and closes all gaps between the insulation and the hammock.

In addition to “hi-tech” materials, the OTUL’s advantages include its very easy use; you don’t need any special knowledge or additional equipment to attach it to the hammock.
